January 26-28, 2010 : The FNQLEDC travels to Halifax to attend a meeting of the Regional Program Management Advisory Committee (RPMAC).
January 21, 2010 : In Lévis, the FNQLEDC attends the Economic Meeting 2010, an event which hosts among others, the Premier of Quebec, Jean Charest.
January 18, 2010 : In Québec, the FNQLEDC meets Natural Resources Canada concerning the funding of the First Nations of Quebec Business Network.
January 12, 2010 : In Wendake, the FNQLEDC takes part in a meeting organized by the FNQLHSSC for the creation of a fund to fight poverty.
January 6, 2010 : Coming into office of the new Coordinator of the FNQLEDC’s CEDOs, Ms Doreen Picard.
December 15: In Wendake, meeting of the FNQLEDC's Board of Directors.
November 18: In Quebec, the FNQLEDC takes part in the meeting of the Directors General of the First Nations of Quebec.
November 17: The FNQLEDC is one of the organizations that accompanied National Chief Atleo during his visit in the community of Wendake.
November 2: In Kahanawake, the FNQLEDC attends a meeting of the AFNQL Regional Commissions and Organizations.
October 29: In Wendake, a training course called « Le travail d’équipe au cœur de l’action de l’agent de développement économique local » (Team work: a central issue for the local economic development officer) is offered to the members of the FNQLEDC.
October 28: In Wendake, the FNQLEDC organizes a special assembly to elect its Board of Directors. This activity is followed by a consultation on the training needs of the community economic development officers, and by a board of directors meeting.
October 22: In Quebec, the FNQLEDC is among the participants of the annual Fall Forum of the Fondation de l’entrepreneurship.
October 21: In Kahnawake, the FNQLEDC attends the annual general assembly of the First Nations Human Resources Development Commission of Quebec (FNHRDCQ).
October 6: In Wendake, the FNQLEDC attends a meeting of the AFNQL Regional Commissions and Organizations.
October 1st : In Wendake, second meeting between the FNQLEDC, the economic development representative of Barriere Lake and the Secrétariat aux affaires autochtones (SAA) regarding support to the economic development of that community.
September 16 : In Quebec, at the offices of the Secrétariat aux affaires autochtones (SAA), the FNQLEDC meets the director of programs and services, Mr. René Dufresne.
September 9-10 : In Mashteuiatsh, the FNQLEDC presents its annual general assembly. The previous day was devoted to a working session on three subjects : the 2009-2014 strategic planning, information on the new economic development federal framework and a project of skills recognition framework for the CEDOs.
September 3 : In Terrebonne, the FNQLEDC takes part in the annual golf tournament of the Assembly of the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador (AFNQL).
September 2 : In Barriere Lake, meeting between the FNQLEDC, the economic development representative of Barriere Lake and the Secrétariat aux affaires autochtones (SAA) to discuss the eventual projects of that community in the area of economic development
September 1st : The FNQLEDC travels to Eastmain to follow-up on their community economic development profile and to discuss potential projects in which the FNQLEDC could get involved.
August 26 : In Wendake, the FNQLEDC takes part in the monitoring committee meeting on Pandemic influenza AH1N1, which was organized by the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Health and Social Services Commission (FNQLHSSC).
August 24 : The FNQLEDC visited the Attikamekw community of Wemotaci. We did the follow-up of our respective projects, conducted the interview for Nikan, met with the local media and visited various infrastructures of the community.
August 20 : In Quebec City, the FNQLEDC attends the Annual General Assembly of the Native Benefits Plan (NBP).
August 4 : In Quebec City, the FNQLEDC meets with Sara Filbee, the Assistant Deputy-Minister of the Lands and Economic Development Division of the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC). The purpose is to make a presentation of our organization and to discuss the new federal Aboriginal Economic Development Framework.
July 28: Ms. Jinny Thibodeau assumed her new functions as controller at the FNQLEDC.
July 27: The FNQLEDC was in Eagle Village to complete the community development profile.
July 24: The FNQLEDC visited Kanesatake to visit the newly appointed CEDO and to present our organization to the Chief and Councillors of the community.
July 20: The FNQLEDC visited the Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) Office in Quebec City to discuss our project proposals for the year 2009-2010.
July 16: In Montmagny, the FNQLEDC conducted a follow-up with Biopterre regarding the non ligneous forest products (NLFP) development project with the three First Nations communities interested in this project.
July 6-7: The FNQLEDC organized a meeting in Wendake of AFNQL Commissions and Regional Organizations.
June 30: The FNQLEDC visited the Lac Barrière CEDO in order to conduct a follow-up of the community development profile and to discuss potential projects in which the FNQLEDC may be involved.
June 30: The FNQLEDC met with a tourism specialist in Montreal in order to discuss tourism strategic planning for the First Nations.
June 25: In Wendake, the FNQLEDC organized a federal/provincial interdepartmental meeting, which was attended by Aboriginal Business Canada (ABC), Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC), the Secretariat for Aboriginal Affairs (SAA), and the ministère du Développement économique, Innovation et Exportation (MDEIE). The goal of the meeting was to confirm the funding structure and the activities of the FNQBN.
June 17: The FNQLEDC attended the meeting organized by the FNQLHSSC in Wendake concerning a social economic project entitled the New Pathways Foundation.
June 16: In Quebec, there was a meeting of the FNQLEDC Board of Directors.
June 15: The FNQLEDC attended a meeting in Montreal with Economic Canada Development for Quebec Regions (ECD) in order to discuss promotion of the recreational infrastructure program in the communities.
June 9-11: The FNQLEDC attended the Assembly of Chiefs Meeting in Montréal.
June 9: A meeting was held in Wendake with the Chibougamau Centre for College Studies in order to discuss the 2009-2010 training plan as well as a potential project for recognition of equivalent qualifications for CEDOs.
June 1: The FNQLEDC organized a meeting in Wendake for all AFNQL Commissions and Regional Organizations.
May 21: in Chibougamau, the FNQLEDC meets with the Centre d’études collégiales à Chibougamau to discuss the training schedule for the 2009-2010 year.
May 15 to the 29: the FNQLEDC visits the communities of Timiskaming, Long Point, Waswanipi, Chisasibi, and Whapmagoostui in order to provide support to the CEDOs in the accomplishment of their mandate and to gather information for the completion of the communities’ economic development profile.
May 13: in Montmagny, the FNQLEDC meets with Guy Langlais (Biopterre) to discuss about the interest of certain communities for the development of non-timber forest products.
May 12: in Wendake, the FNQLEDC is present for a reunion of the Social Development sector of the FNQLHSSC pertaining to the Foundation for the Future of First Nations project.
May 7: in St-Hyacinthe, the FNQLEDC attends the annual symposium of the Regroupement des Chefs d’entreprise du Québec, an organization which is a potential partner for the First Nations of Quebec Business Network (FNQBN)
May 6, 7 and 8: the FNQLEDC takes part in the Chief’s Assembly in Quebec
May 5: in Quebec, the FNQLEDC takes part in a meeting held by the Regional Commissions and Organizations of the AFNQL.
April 28-29-30 : the FNQLEDC travels to Obedjiwan to inform the Band Council on the mode of operation of training in silviculture, to be provided to 12 workers of the community, this summer.
April 28-29-30 : the FNQLEDC travels to Obedjiwan, Wemotaci and Manawan. The objective is to follow up on their community development profile and to discuss the potential projects in which the FNQLEDC could get involved.
April 23-24 : the FNQLEDC visits the Abenaki communities of Odanak and Wôlinak. We undertake the follow-up of our respective projects, the interview for Nikan,a meeting with the local media and the visit of the various infrastructures of the community.
April 15-16-17 : In Wendake, the FNQLEDC takes part in the special Chiefs’ Assembly.
April 8 : In Wendake, the FNQLEDC meets with Alain Dubois, of the FNFP, concerning the funding for the 1st year of the First Nations Forest Solidarity Coop.
April 6 : In Kanesatake, the FNQLEDC meets with the representatives of the community to discuss a possible collaboration for apple picking and marketing in the orchards of the community.
April 6 : In Wendake, the FNQLEDC attends a meeting of the AFNQL Regional Commissions and Organizations.
April 4, 2009 : In Kahnawake, the FNQLEDC discusses with a representative of the community for a possible collaboration to create a permanent division of wildlife protection in Kahnawake.
April 2, 2009 : In Winneway, the FNQLEDC and the Société de développement du Témiscamingue (SDT) meet with the leaders of the community to support and improve the socioeconomic situation of Long Point. The FNQLEDC and the SDT offer their engagement in certain files (ex : furniture manufacture, fish farming, etc.)
April 1, 2009 : In Wendake, The FNQLEDC gets the confirmation from Rexforêt that the First Nations Forest Solidarity Coop will be receiving funding to train 12 workers in the summer of 2009.
